The terracotta colour is reminiscent of authentic pottery, which can add a rustic charm to your creations. It also dries matte, which can be left as it is or you can add some colour and shine with some paint or gloss. This clay is air-drying, so there’s no need for an oven or kiln. Simply leave it in a cool, dry place and the clay will begin to dry naturally. You don’t need to wait long for your designs to dry either. Once finished, your piece will begin to harden after 24 hours depending on its size, which also gives you plenty of time to keep working on it if you need to. How to use air dry modelling clay: Using your hands or a cutting tool, pull or slice the amount of clay you want to work with and begin kneading it. This will loosen the clay, making it more supple and easier to work with. Begin to shape it into the structure you want, continuing to wet the piece with a little water if it begins to feel stiff. Store the clay in an airtight container and use regularly to avoid it hardening completely.
