We provide a formulation that is Oxybenzone free and will not bleach our coral reefs. The issue with chemical sunscreens (i.e., Oxybenzone) is that instead of reflecting UV rays, they absorb them and convert those UV rays into heat. This is problematic in the sense that coral will absorb chemical sunscreens and the heat process causes the coral to bleach. Mineral sunscreens have been shown to be safe for both coral and marine life.
